Escape guests can experience “glamping” in exclusive luxury tent or Studio accommodation, combining traditional elements of camping with contemporary style and comfort. The Escape accommodation is the perfect way to take the “roughing it” out of camping, allowing everyone to indulge the very best Mother Nature has to offer!

Diving into the luxurious queen size bed, testing out the extra long day beds (with a book and a glass of wine!) as well as the contemporary outdoor seating for unlimited relaxation time top the to do list!

The well appointed guest bathrooms are located within 30 metres of each tent, along with food and beverage service from The Escape Kitchen and Bar, there’s really not much guests need to do, other than Escape.

ACTIVITIES

At The Escape, there’s no shortage of things to do. Guests can take a dip in the Clyde, explore the fabulous walking and riding tracks around The Escape or test out our day beds and indulge in an afternoon’s reading and relaxation!

ON SITE – There’s no need for guests to travel far to engage in some fun activities. Stay at The Escape & enjoy bocce, bushwalking, bush picnics, kayaking, fishing, mountain biking, swimming and bird watching.

OFF SITE – there’s a diversity of South Coast offerings – high or low energy – some of our favourites include beach visits, bushwalking, Clyde River Berry Farm, horse riding, surfing, discovery tours, shopping or local winery visits!

THE ENVIRONMENT

From THE ESCAPE:

ENERGY USE: Solar, gas (the property is off grid)

WATER: On site rainwater collection

WASTE MINIMISATION – Use of self grown herbs & seasonal fresh produce in the kitchen, on site composting & full recycling systems are in place.

DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION – Owner designed with minimal footprint & impact on land & water based native flora, fauna & eco-systems

SUPPLIES – Produce & consumables are sourced locally where possible & practical, particularly in the kitchen with Clyde River oysters/shucking sessions & grass fed Milton beef featuring on The Escape menu

TRANSPORT – The Escape is surrounded by State & National forests & is located 15 to 20kms off two major highways. Guests travel on unsealed roads & cross a waterway upon approach to The Escape, which is suitable for two wheel drives except in extreme weather or tidal conditions.

Presently closed while undergoing renovations…The Escape Glamping is custom designed luxury tent accommodation with spectacular views over the Clyde River on the NSW South Coast. Definitely at the luxury end of a glamping experience.

LUXURY TENTS  Overlooking the Clyde River and perched amongst the gum trees, you’ll be forgiven if you choose to be totally tent bound for your Escape! Dive into your luxurious queen size bed, then be sure to test out the extra long day beds (with a book and a glass of wine!) as well as the contemporary outdoor seating for unlimited relaxation time! Each Lux Tent has its own well appointed bathroom with towels and Sukin beauty products supplied.

The Studio is a bush luxury “Penthouse” with pure river front views and space to stretch out inside or out on the expansive decks. Although a little more contemporary than the Lux Tents, with its own kitchenette, bar fridge, full size dining table and bio-fuel heater, The Studio still offers guests the feeling of being wrapped up by Mother Nature, just with a little more luxury.
