ACTIVITIES

Massages

“Spoil yourself with a treatment and you will leave soothed, revitalised and energised.
Working with holistic principles and the awareness that everyone has the capacity to heal, I’d like to take you on a path where you can regain your balance, experience deep relaxation and gain knowledge about a wholesome and holistic life style, dogma free.

I’ve studied Ayurveda (Massage/Nutrition) since 2001 in Sri Lanka, Munich/Germany and
McLaren Vale/South Australia with Russell Smith as well as Hawaiian Body work in Kauaii in 2007 & have been practising Yoga since 1990.”

Surroundings

“We have the best of both worlds. The Fleurieu Peninsula is surrounded by the Southern Ocean, rolling hills and ancient fairy tale forests just 45 km south of Adelaide.

Driving on the Peninsula with its extraordinary scenery is an unforgettable experience. We live in a wine growing area, have some of the best local food & wine producers in the world. Going on a tasting tour is very popular.

Hiking on the Heysen Trail is highly recommended.

You can visit our Green Light Organic Market in Willunga where you can sit amongst almond trees, savour an organic lunch or coffee and cake and connect with our green & eco minded community.

And not to forget our local stars…our wildlife… the koalas, the kangaroos, the colourful birds. The Yellow Tail Black Cockatoos are nesting in a tree next to our house every year.

The movie ‘The boys are back’ was produced on the Peninsula and shows our piece of Paradise we are living in.”

THE ENVIRONMENT

From the Owners:

“Our passive Solar design house (orientated 8 degrees west of North to allow maximum sun in winter and no sun in Summer) has many windows facing North to capture the Winter sun and insulated roller shutters facing West to totally cut the afternoon summer sun as well as louvred windows to allow maximum cross flow of air. The house has extra thick insulation in the walls and ceiling. It is built with care so it will last as long as possible and will have minimal maintenance i.e. extra thick paint, stainless steel fittings, extra thick timbers to give the house more strength. Mostly toxic free building materials as well as toxic free paints were used.

The house and outbuildings capture all the rainwater that falls on them. Most of the water in the house is rainwater, heated using solar panels. All of the waste water is collected and goes through a septic system and a sand filter and is used to water the trees.

We use all our food scraps/green garden waste for making compost, recycle waste through separation (recycling facilities are provided for guests) and simply avoid wherever possible creating waste and the use of plastic.

We grow organic fruits and vegetables (apples, peaches, rhubarb, strawberries, figs, lemons, passion fruits, bananas, lettuce, herbs, ginger, turmeric, corn, potatoes, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, kale, artichokes) in our garden/hot house/mini food forest.
We are hosting bees (and enjoy our own honey) and have a native bee motel.
We have installed a paramagnetic tower that increases the Earth’s magnetism which optimises the health of our soil microbes and enhances the health of all life.

All the food I’m preparing/serving is organic and mostly locally sourced/grown in our garden.

Our bed sheets and towels are made of organic cotton.

All cleaning and daily life products we use are earth and human friendly, toilet paper and tissues are made of recycled paper with no inks, dyes or scents.
