Visitors can enjoy SCUBA diving, swim with a pod of Bottlenose Dolphins or snorkel with Australian Fur Seals, learn to surf, bike riding or bush walking at Point Nepean National Park, or even horse riding along the beach. Mornington Peninsula also offers the golfer & gourmet plenty to choose from too! There are numerous world class golf courses to play. And dozens of local wineries a short drive from Sorrento.

“With the support of the Sustainable Melbourne Fund and the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council we have been able to transform Sorrento Beach House into an environmentally friendly boutique accommodation property.
Our environmentally friendly initiatives include:
7.8 kilowatt solar powered grid connected system
Energy efficient hydronic heating
All new double glazed windows and doors throughout
Led energy efficient lighting throughout
Polished concrete floors maximising ability to absorb and retain heat in winter and remain cool in summer
In our kitchen we have a bokashi composting unit for food scraps, as well as a recycling system for glass, paper, cardboard, plastic, aluminium and steel cans
We use environmentally friendly cleaning products and supply guests with a beautiful range of eco hand and body liquid soaps.

The Beach House is set amongst a low water requirement indigenous garden. We are only a short walk to the stunning Mornington Peninsula National Park which feature breath taking rugged coastal walks and beaches.”

Dolphin Swimming tours, fishing trips, and the ferry to Queenscliff all depart from the Sorrento pier; a 5 minute walk from the Beach House. It is also just a 5 minute walk to rugged surf beaches & National Park.

The Beach House is an ideal venue for small or large groups looking for a relaxed and comfortable stay. The back deck is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner on warm summer days.

FEATURES

Guests are provided with delicious breakfast provisions including free range eggs from our chickens, a cob loaf (of course), berry/oat Granola and yoghurt.

Inside the Cob Barn guests can enjoy the warmth of a delightful wood fire and can relax with a selection of DVDs, books, games and music.

The kitchen is well equipped for meal preparation, with hot plates, oven and an espresso coffee machine.

Outside, there is a BBQ and a fire pit on the deck overlooking the lake.

Bathrobes and electric blankets are provided.

Heating is provided by a wood heater. An ability to operate a slow combustion wood heater is necessary.

Check-in is anytime after 2pm and checkout is at 11am.
