Billabong Camp
The quality tent accommodation at Billabong Camp form a permanent camping area by a billabong under the stars, the perfect base to come back to in between your many wildlife encounters throughout your visit.

Your spacious campsite includes tents which are 3m x 3m and made from heavy duty canvas with a solid floor. There are two tents set up per campsite to accommodate a family if needed. Each tent can sleep up to three people (with two stretchers and one sleeping mat). Depending on your requirements an additional sleeping mat can be arranged. Stretcher beds and sleeping mats are included in the cost of your stay.

Zoofari Lodges
For the ultimate wild experience stay in one of the all new Animal View tent style lodges. Recently constructed these safari-style lodges feature African-inspired decor with a king size bed, double bath and overlook a paddock in which Giraffe, Zebra and Eland roam.  Guests can sit back and relax on their deck as they watch the sunrise and see the animals meander across the savannah.

All accommodation includes private ensuite, coffee and tea making facilities, mini-bar, fridge and shaded veranda with outdoor furniture.
Animal View Lodges sleep up to four people, with a king split bed and sofa bed.
Bushland View Lodges sleep up to six people with a queen bed, two singles and a sofa bed.
All bedding, linen and towels are provided. 

Savannah Cabins
With an outlook across natural grassland toward the Zoo’s African Savannah exhibit, the Savannah Cabins offer affordable family accommodation right at the Zoo’s door step!
Each cabin features two bedrooms and two bathrooms (one main and one ensuite) and can sleep up to six people. One bedroom features a king bed that can be configured into singles if required, whilst the other bedroom has a queen bed. A sofa bed is located in the lounge area. One cabin is equipped with disabled access including an accessible bathroom. Each cabin is air conditioned, with a fully contained kitchen featuring electric cooking hob, dishwasher, convection oven and refrigerator, as well as outdoor dining area with barbeque. There’s also free wifi and Foxtel.
The Savannah Cabins are located three kilometres from the Zoo’s entry and provide guests with the freedom to stay and explore the Zoo, or see what Dubbo and the surrounding region has to offer, with flexibility to come and go. Alternatively guests can simply relax and take in the peace and tranquillity of this unique setting.

Whether you fancy getting up close to a big cat, dropping in on the Meerkats at meal time, or learning why Hippos are such good swimmers, our keeper talks and animal encounters offer visitors truly special experiences with our amazing animals.
