Roar & Snore is a fully hosted educational experience which includes up-close animal encounters, guided tours of the zoo in darkness, and exclusive behind the scenes experiences. Along with the ‘wild’ component you will have all the extras, from refreshments at our harbour front campsite and a sumptuous feast with drinks, to sleeping in architecturally designed tents. Double and single beds in each tent are fully dressed; you can even shower while enjoying the world famous view!

The animals you will get to meet can vary from night to night. The evening animal encounters focus on some of the more amazing native Australian reptiles while the cute and furry animals are saved for the morning. On the night walk, you will see the animals that are most impressive to see at night, such as the animals from the African waterhole. If you have a favourite animal, make sure to mention it to your hosts and if possible they will include it on the walk. The behind the scenes tours also vary from morning to morning but all the tours we have access to are amazing experiences that you would never have the opportunity to do on a regular visit to the Zoo.
