FEATURES
ECO LODGES: The two purpose built timber lodges are constructed following environmental sustainable design principles and offer a unique experience of comfort in a natural setting. They each feature a king (6ft) bed, a wet-room, a digital LCD TV and DVD with surround sound, plus an ipod dock. They are modern in design with exposed timbers, polished granite work surfaces and wooden floors, and the luxury inside blends with the pure wilderness in which they are set. Free high speed wifi is also available in all for guest rooms.Included in the tariff – continental breakfast provisions.Each lodge can accommodate up to two adults only. Unfortunately, the Lodges are not suitable for occupancy by infants or children (under 18 years).
ECO STUDIOS Opened in November 2015 – the brand new Eco Studios (there are eight in total) have a panoramic view of the Tasman Sea over Saltwater Lagoon on Friendly Beaches. This is a view that no one else on the East Coast of Tasmania can offer. These Studios are the only accommodation in Tasmania to currently boast a 6* energy rating, and they have a contemporary edgy feel to them. They are compact (26sq metres) but are equipped with everything that a couple needs for a short break in Freycinet, including a well-equipped kitchenette with a granite work surface and microwave/grill oven, ensuite shower-room, king/twin beds (please request your preference when booking) and free high speed internet available in your room. They also have underfloor heating in the shower room and a private deck area of 9sq metres with an outside sitting area.Unfortunately, the Studios are not suitable for occupancy by infants or children (under 18 years).

A botanical survey guided the choice of development sites on the property, and as well as designing to minimise the use of energy and water, environmentally sustainable design (ESD) principles governed the build strategy and the selection of building materials avoiding use of toxic materials and maximising recyclability (no CCA treated timberuse of non off-gassing paints and furnishings, recycled polyester insulation batts, zinc alume roofing steel), avoiding materials with high levels of embodied energy (minimising the use of steel) and using Tasmanian or Australian products wherever possible

The location is ideal as a base for exploring the East coast, with the Bay of Fires only 100 minutes away, and Freycinet National Park on your doorstep. Nearby is the coastal village of Swansea and the town of Coles Bay.

The accommodation at Freycinet Resort offers a unique experience of comfort in a natural setting. This is a place in which to relax and rejuvenate, leave civilisation behind, and get immersed in nature. Wildlife is very much in evidence, and there are walks to do from the doorstep.
If you are expecting a resort, you will be disappointed as it is a nature retreat which particularly appeals to travellers who appreciate getting away from it all in a truly natural and beautiful environment. Freycinet Resort offers a very different experience from larger organisations, but still provides a professional, individual service and an experience that you will remember.
Bush Retreats: The design of the two retreats is modern with clean lines, exposed timbers and each has a pillow top king bed, LED Smart TV, and laundry facilities. The fully equipped kitchen includes Coles Bay granite work surfaces and stainless steel appliances.
Studios: The Studios are modern 6*energy rated cabins, which are suitable for a couple in either a king or twin pillow top bed set-up. They have a kitchenette with granite worksurfaces, LED Smart TV’s and underfloor heating in the ensuite shower room.
Our Tip: Some guests have indicated that the road can be a bit rough after heavy rain.

At Freycinet Eco Retreat, orienteering is available for clients, and within the Freycinet area there is a range of activities including bushwalking, sea kayaking, nature cruises, diving, rock climbing, quad biking, penguin and dolphin tours, swimming, surfing, golf, great ocean and river fishing, or simply enjoyment of the wines, the fine foods, and the wildlife.
