DIAMOND WATERS

Treehouse Retreat

Treehouse
FEATURES
There are two treehouses with identical floorplans. Each sleeps 2-4 people comfortably with a spacious queen bedroom, plus sofas that convert to a comfortable queen bed or two singles.

Take the airwalk, open the front door and straight away you’ll feel the magic of living up in the trees. Quality fittings, furnishings and those little extras also make all the difference!

A delicious breakfast hamper including free range eggs and produce from the host’s kitchen garden is available, but needs to be booked in advance.

The airwalk provides easy flat access to both treehouses and is wide enough for wheelchairs. Likewise the interiors, including the bathrooms, have been designed with wheelchairs in mind.

ACTIVITIES
The Camden Haven area of the Mid North Coast is renowned for its spectacular coastal and valley views, extensive waterways for boating and fishing, sweeping surf beaches, protected family-friendly swimming spots, fresh produce and weekend markets.

  • Laze on the spacious, shady deck, walk to the spectacular South Beach or try your luck catching mud crabs on the riverfront.
  • If you can drag yourself away, there are wineries, picnic areas, playgrounds, beaches, pools, pubs and cafes nearby.
  • The local area includes some of the most spectacular, unspoilt coastal landscape and vegetation on the Mid North Coast. The view from the summit of North Brother Mountain has to be seen to be believed.
  • Ask your hosts about where to go for the best views, secret picnic places, walking tracks, great fish & chips or an ice cold beer.
THE ENVIRONMENT

From the Owners:

The Treehouses were built using a ten point environmental sensitivity plan and the sites solar farm generates more power than is used. See how you can live in luxury using less than 3000 watts per day and tread lightly on the environment. The owners are committed to maintaining Advanced Ecotourism and Climate Action Business status with Ecotourism Australia.

Eco Friendly and low environmental impact is what we are all about. At Diamond Waters Treehouse Retreat we have realised our vision to create a sustainable business which ensured the most environmentally responsible use for our land and protection of our valuable natural biodiversity.

Winner of LGA Sustainability Award, NSW Tourism Unique Accommodation Bronze, North Coast Tourism Ecotourism Gold, Advanced Ecotourism Accredited since 2012, Climate Action Business Accredited since 2012.

The mindful planning, design, construction, furnishing and ongoing operation of the Treehouses ensures that we “tread lightly”, complement and blend with the natural environment without compromising on luxury.

  • Planning

The Treehouses sit comfortably with a sense of belonging in their precious coastal littoral rainforest and wetlands environment, up high with a bird’s eye view, positioned to be cooled by shade and sea breezes in summer and warmed by winter sun and renewable resources harvested on site.

  • Infrastructure and Services

100% water use requirements harvested and stored on site
100% waste water management on site with natural sand filtration and recycling of irrigation water
100% of Treehouse electrical energy requirements met by our solar power generation system

  • Design

Every design decision in the creation of the Treehouses qualified choices against a ten tick environmental assessment system with a “do it once and do it properly” philosophy.

  • Guest Involvement

We supply a complementary selection of nature based, earth friendly and biodegradable products for the use of our guests during their stay and are delighted when we are asked to provide advice on where our guests can also find them and take them home.

Recycling is a priority at Diamond Waters, from the vegetable scraps turned into eggs by our chickens or our reclaimed timber fence.  All other recyclable items can be placed in the appropriate bins provided.

We treasure our wild native flora and fauna.  Please refrain from feeding any of our native animals.  It’s best for them to feed only on natural food sources and ensures that they do not become pests.

Please turn off all outside lights when not in use it is helpful for our nocturnal feeders if we don’t scare off either them or their natural food source.

What we love…

Diamond Waters Treehouse Retreat is set in a stunning 12 acre tropical garden, where you will find secluded spots to sit, sip a drink, meditate or read your favourite book. Take the airwalk, open the front door and straight away you’ll feel the magic of living in the trees.

Tell me more…
